Following on from the success of its inaugural day in 2012, the second annual National Flash Fiction Day will take place on Saturday, June 22nd. Big Smoke Writing factory will be hosting Flash Bulbs, a special flash fiction reading event from 6pm to 8pm at Arthur’s Pub on Thomas Street. Submissions are now open for reading slots and the guidelines are below:
- Writers must be available to read at the Flash Bulbs event on the evening of Saturday June 22nd 2013
- Submissions should be flash fiction of up to 500 words (the title is not included). Pieces longer than this will not be considered. There is no minimum word count
- Please limit your submissions to two per writer
- Send all submissions to bigsmokeflash@gmail.com
- Please include “Submission To Read” as the subject of your email
- Work may be submitted as an attachment (.rtf, .doc, .docx or .pdf) or within the body of the email
- Entries must be the original work of the author
- We will accept both previously published and unpublished work (note: if you are submitting previously published work please include details of the publication)
- The judges’ decision is final
- Submissions close at midnight GMT on Friday June 7th 2013
